Drink Wine for Breakfast

A colleague sent this article to everyone on the team. It was kind of a joke as we all know this isn't real science, but really, you need to take this info into perspective.

Cake for Breakfast

This article makes the bold assumption that eating cake for breakfast can actually be good for you. The main point is that if you eat chocolate cake when you wake up, you will likely burn it off more easily than if you eat it later in the day. So assuming you're going to eat chocolate cake anyway, might as well eat it for breakfast. But it also says the participants ate protein, carbs and then the 600 calorie dessert. After that, you probably feel guilty for eating so much, that you're limiting your calories the rest of the day to make up for it, hence the weight loss or lack of weight gain. So much lack of detail and  confounding variables to make this legit.

Also, it mentions the benefit of the flavonoids in chocolate.  There are flavonoids in many more low calorie foods. There are also flavonoids in wine. And coffee.
The whole point is that breakfast is beneficial and flavonoids are beneficial. Duh.

So chocolate cake is good if you eat it when you first wake up but not an hour later.

So eat cake for breakfast. Or drink wine.

I'm out.
